Someone asks to meet. The meeting books itself

Tessa spots emails asking for a meeting, suggests free slots from your calendar and, when you choose one, creates the event with a video link, invites the other person and replies in the same thread.

Five emails to find thirty minutes

“Does Tuesday work?” “Can't do Tuesday, how about Wednesday afternoon?” “I'm busy until five on Wednesday…” Finding a time over email can drag on for days, and the topic goes cold in the meantime.

Booking links help, but they don't always feel right with a client or a partner, and someone has to set them up and keep them current. What most people would do if they had a minute is check their calendar, offer two or three options and send the invite. That's exactly what Tessa does.

How it works with Tessa

  1. 1

    She spots the request

While reading your inbox, Tessa recognizes emails where someone wants to meet and tags them as “Meeting”.

  2. 2

    She offers slots

She checks your calendar and suggests a few free options during working hours, spread across mornings and afternoons over the next few days.

  3. 3

    You pick one

One click on the slot you prefer. That click is your approval; nothing is sent before it.

  4. 4

    Tessa does the rest

She creates the event in your calendar with a Google Meet link, invites the sender and replies in the thread confirming the time.

What you get

  • No back and forthThe other person gets the invite and the confirmation at the same time.
  • Respects your calendarOnly free time is ever offered. Busy slots never show up.
  • Video link includedEvents come with a Meet link, or a Teams link if you're on Outlook.
  • You always decideTessa books nothing without your click. If no option works, just reply manually as usual.
  • Works for interviewsIn Hiring, “Propose interview” uses the same flow with a 45-minute slot.

An example

Say Ana emails you: “Shall we talk about the partnership?”. It shows up in your inbox tagged “Meeting” with three slots: Thursday 10:00, Thursday 16:00 and Friday 11:30. You pick Thursday morning. Ana receives a calendar invite with a Meet link and, in the same thread, “Great, I've sent you an invite for Thursday at 10:00.” One click, done.

Because the meeting is now on your calendar with Ana as an attendee, ten minutes before it starts you'll also get a brief with your latest exchanges with her and anything still open.

Using Google and Microsoft together

If you've connected both calendars (Microsoft 365 is in beta), Tessa treats a slot as busy if it's taken in either one, and creates the event in whichever account the email arrived at.

What Tessa reads for each person stays private, your data is stored in the EU and nothing goes out without your approval.

Frequently asked questions

Does Tessa accept meetings on my behalf?

No. She suggests slots and only creates the event when you pick one. Choosing the slot is your approval to send.

What hours does she suggest?

Working hours, Monday to Friday, mornings and afternoons, based on your calendar. She never suggests a slot that's already taken.

Does it work with Outlook and Teams?

Yes, in beta. If the email arrived in your Outlook, the event is created in that calendar with a Teams link.

Does the other person need Tessera?

No. They get a normal calendar invite and an email from you in the same thread, just as if you'd done it by hand.

Is this the same as a booking page?

Not quite. A booking page is used by the other person; here you choose from the slots Tessa suggests. It feels more natural with clients and partners.

What if the time doesn't work for them?

They'll reply in the same thread, as they would to any invite. Tessa reads that reply and, if they ask for another time, offers you fresh free slots to choose from.

What does your team look like?
