Every email that asks for something becomes a task

Tessa reads your email and Slack messages, spots what's waiting on you and hands you a prioritized list. Anything you've already answered, or that was just a notification, disappears on its own.

Your inbox is not a to-do list, even if you treat it like one

Most people run their week out of their inbox: stars, unread flags, emails forwarded to themselves, requests copied onto sticky notes. That holds up until the day sixty messages land at once, half of them newsletters and alerts, and the one request from your biggest client slides under two automated invoices.

Email isn't the only source either. A teammate tags you in a Slack channel, someone else DMs you, and a request hides at the bottom of a long thread. By evening your asks are scattered across three tools and none of them tells you what to do first.

How it works with Tessa

  1. 1

    Connect Google and Slack

One click for your Google account, one for Slack. Nothing to install, no filters or labels to set up.

  2. 2

    Tessa reads and sorts

Every new email or message goes through Tessa. She separates what needs a reply or an action from the noise: newsletters, automated alerts, FYI copies.

  3. 3

You get tasks with priority and dates

What matters shows up under “For you” with a one-line summary, a priority (high, normal or low), a due date when there is one and a suggested next step: reply, schedule or do.

  4. 4

    Done items close themselves

Reply to the email, archive it or answer in the Slack thread and Tessa marks it as handled. No checkboxes to tick.

What you get

  • One list for email and SlackRequests from both tools land in the same place, ranked the same way.
  • Less noiseNewsletters, notifications and emails that don't need you stay off your list, without being deleted from your mailbox.
  • Context at a glanceEach item says who's asking, what they want and by when, so you don't have to open the full email.
  • Learns what's urgent for youChange a priority or dismiss something and Tessa adjusts how she weighs that sender or domain next time.
  • Private by designWhat Tessa reads in your mailbox is visible to you only. Your manager and teammates never see your inbox.

What a normal morning looks like

Say you open Tessera at nine and Tessa has read 48 emails overnight. Six matter: a client wants the revised quote before Friday (high), a supplier reports an incomplete order, someone wants to meet about a partnership (Tessa suggests scheduling it) and your accountant needs this quarter's VAT paperwork (normal). The newsletters and alerts never reach your list.

What Tessa reads for each person stays private, your data is stored in the EU and nothing goes out without your approval.

Frequently asked questions

Does Tessa delete or archive my emails?

No. Tessa reads your mailbox to build the list but never deletes or moves anything on her own. Your Gmail stays as it is; when you archive or reply there, Tessa notices and closes the task.

Who can see the tasks created from my email?

Only you. Items under “For you” that come from your mailbox are private. Managers see the team's shared work, never your inbox or what Tessa reads in it.

Does it work with Outlook as well as Gmail?

Yes, Microsoft 365 (Outlook) is supported in beta. You can connect Google, Microsoft or both, and tasks from both mailboxes end up in the same list.

How does Tessa decide the priority?

From what the message asks for, any deadline, who sent it and your history with them. When you change a priority, Tessa learns from it for the next emails from that sender.
