Applications sorted, interviews booked, and the decision stays yours

Applications arriving by email become candidate profiles with a summary against the role, minus sensitive data. Propose an interview in one click, and the interview notes flow back into the profile.

At a small company, hiring happens between a hundred other things

You post a job and CVs start arriving by email. Some fit, some are way off, and all of them get mixed into the rest of your inbox. By the time you sit down to review them, the best candidates have moved on.

A full applicant tracking system is overkill for two hires a year. And pasting CVs into a chatbot without care carries a real risk: decisions leaning on age, gender, nationality or other details that shouldn't count.

How it works with Tessa

  1. 1

    Describe the role

Admins write descriptions for open roles: requirements, responsibilities and what matters most.

  2. 2

    Tessa spots applications

While reading email she recognizes applications and creates a profile with the name and role. Only the person who received it can see it.

  3. 3

    She summarizes without sensitive data

Before analyzing, she removes age, gender, nationality, marital status, health, religion, photos and other protected data, and masks email and phone. You get a score with reasons tied to the role's requirements.

  4. 4

Propose an interview in one click

Tessa offers free slots for a 45-minute interview, creates the event and sends the invite. If she takes notes in the interview, the summary is added to the profile.

What you get

  • FairerThe analysis runs without the data that shouldn't influence a hiring decision.
  • Never rejects anyoneThe score is guidance. No application is turned down automatically, and the interface says so.
  • FasterGet back to good candidates sooner instead of losing them in your inbox.
  • PrivateApplications are visible only to whoever received them, not the whole company.
  • One-click deletionIf a candidate asks you to erase their data, do it from their profile.

AI hiring and GDPR

GDPR Article 22 protects people from decisions based solely on automated processing. That's why Tessa doesn't decide: she sorts and summarizes so a human can review with more context. Remember to tell candidates how their data is used, in the job post and in your privacy policy.

Current limitation

Right now the analysis is based on the text of the application email and the attachment file names; the contents of PDF CVs aren't read yet. If a candidate summarizes their experience in the email body, the assessment will be more complete.

Interview notes are matched to a candidate when the meeting title contains their full name, so a title like “Interview with Marta Ruiz” is all it takes for the summary to land in the right profile.

What Tessa reads for each person stays private, your data is stored in the EU and nothing goes out without your approval.

Frequently asked questions

Does the AI decide who gets hired?

No. Tessa summarizes and scores each application against the role but never rejects anyone automatically. A person always makes the call.

Which data is removed before analysis?

Age and birth dates, gender, nationality and origin, marital status and children, pregnancy, health or disability, religion, political views or union membership, sexual orientation, photos and ID documents. Emails and phone numbers are masked and the name is replaced too.

Does it read PDF CVs?

Not yet. The analysis uses the email body and attachment names. It's a known limitation we plan to address.

Who can see applications?

Only the person who received the email. Admins write the role descriptions but can't see applications that land in other people's mailboxes.

Do I need an ATS?

For a small company hiring a few times a year, usually not. If you run dozens of processes at once with multiple stages and reviewers, an ATS is still the better fit.

What does your team look like?

Same AI for both. Where you start is what changes.
