Google Calendar integration
Google Calendar with AI: fewer emails to book, better-prepared meetings
Tessa uses your calendar to close bookings without email chains and to brief you before every meeting.
“Does Thursday work?” and ten more emails
Booking a call with someone outside the company can take four messages. You check your calendar, suggest two times, they come back with a third, you check again. Meanwhile the original email sinks.
Then there’s the meeting itself: you join without remembering what you discussed last time or what you promised. Re-reading emails and notes five minutes beforehand is the first thing to go when you’re busy.
How it works with Tessa
- 1
Connect Google once
The same connection that gives Tessa your Gmail covers your calendar. Each person connects their own in one click.
- 2
Tessa spots meeting requests
When an email asks to meet, she suggests free slots during working hours, one per half-day, around what you already have.
- 3
Pick a slot and you’re done
Tessa creates the event with a Google Meet link, invites the other person and confirms in the thread. Your click is the approval.
- 4
A brief ten minutes before
Before each meeting you get, in the app, in Slack or as a phone notification, who’s attending, what you last talked about and your open tasks with them.
What you get
- Bookings in one clickNo copying times or flipping to another tab. The confirmation goes out in the same thread.
- Never walk in coldThe brief only uses what you can already see: your email, minutes of meetings you attended and your tasks.
- Your morning minuteIf you turn it on, you get a daily rundown of today’s meetings and tasks due.
- The base for meeting notesTessa knows which events have a video link and, afterwards, fetches the transcript or sends her note-taker to write the minutes.
- Google and Microsoft togetherIf someone also uses Outlook, free slots respect busy time in both calendars.
Example: a consultancy booking ten calls a week
Picture the lead of a small consultancy fielding meeting requests from clients and candidates. With Google Calendar connected, each request lands in her inbox with three suggested slots. She picks one from her phone, the client gets a Meet invite and, on the day, she gets a 9:50 brief on what was left open last time.
No booking pages or rules to set up: Tessa works with the calendar you already use.
What Tessa reads for each person stays private, your data is stored in the EU and nothing goes out without your approval.
Frequently asked questions
How do I connect Google Calendar to Tessa?
Through the Google connection in My connections. A single consent covers email, calendar and Drive, and each person connects their own account.
Can Tessa create meetings without asking?
When booking from an email, the meeting is created when you pick the slot, and that click is the approval. In the control panel you can require approval for calendar actions every time.
Which hours does it suggest?
For now, weekdays from 9:00 to 14:00 and 15:00 to 18:00, Madrid time. It offers one slot per half-day so the other side isn’t flooded with options.
Does it work alongside an Outlook calendar?
Yes. You can also connect Microsoft 365, currently in beta. Tessa merges both calendars and, if the email arrived in Outlook, books the meeting on Teams.
What does my manager see of my calendar?
Nothing beyond what Google already shows them. Tessa doesn’t report how many meetings you have or how you spend your time; the brief is for you alone.
