Google Meet integration
AI notes for Google Meet: minutes, tasks and recap without lifting a pen
When the call ends, Tessa writes the minutes, creates each owner’s tasks with a due date and sends the summary. You just talk.
What gets agreed in a meeting evaporates
A thirty-minute meeting ends with five agreements. If nobody writes them down, by tomorrow everyone remembers a different version and half of it never happens. If someone does write them down, they stop taking part.
Recording doesn’t fix it: nobody rewatches an hour of video. What you need is short minutes, who does what by when, and someone who remembers to chase it.
How it works with Tessa
- 1
Connect Google
With your calendar and Drive connected, Tessa knows which events have a Meet link and where Google saves their transcripts.
- 2
Tessa captures the conversation
If Meet saves a transcript or Gemini notes to Drive, she uses them. If not, she can join as “Tessa (toma notas)”, visible to everyone with a note-taking card on camera.
- 3
She writes the minutes
Summary, decisions and a task list with owner, priority and due date. Emails and phone numbers mentioned are swapped for placeholders before reaching the model.
- 4
She shares and follows up
The recap goes by Slack and email to attendees inside your company. External attendees only get it once you approve. Each owner gets reminders for their own items.
What you get
- Tasks with names and datesNot a loose list of ideas: each agreement is assigned to someone with a deadline.
- Commitments that get doneTessa nudges on the due date and, if something stalls, tells the person who asked for it once.
- Builds on what Meet already doesIf your company already uses Meet transcripts, Tessa turns them into work instead of leaving them in a folder.
- Approval for anything externalA recap for a client or supplier waits for your go-ahead before it leaves.
- Company memoryDecisions from the minutes feed the wiki and search, visible only to people who were in the meeting.
Two ways to capture a meeting
The least intrusive is the transcript Google Meet itself saves to Drive (or a recording, which Tessa transcribes). The second is Tessa’s note-taker, which joins the call with its own card on camera so everyone knows notes are being taken. You can use either, depending on the meeting.
- Minutes are visible to their participants, not the whole company.
- The note-taker only joins if you have credits left, and never loses minutes for a meeting it already attended.
- Also works with Zoom and Teams (in beta).
What Tessa reads for each person stays private, your data is stored in the EU and nothing goes out without your approval.
Frequently asked questions
How do I get AI notes for Google Meet automatically?
Connect your Google account to Tessera. Tessa picks up Meet events on your calendar and, when they end, writes minutes from Meet’s transcript or from her own note-taker.
Does it work for meetings held in Spanish?
Yes. Tessa writes the minutes in the language of the meeting and was built for Spanish-speaking teams from day one.
Do attendees know notes are being taken?
Yes. Meet announces its transcripts, and Tessa’s note-taker appears in the call by name with a card saying it is taking notes.
Where do the action items end up?
In Tessera, each with its owner, due date and reminders. If you also connect Jira, Trello or another task tool (in beta), its tasks show up on the same board.
Which plan do I need?
Meeting notes are on the Team and Business plans, with a 14-day free trial. Business also includes recordings.
