Product lives in Linear; the rest of the startup doesn’t
Linear is fast and pleasant for engineers. But in a ten-person startup, half the team never opens it: the founder doing sales, the support person, whoever talks to investors. When a customer asks about a bug, the answer is slow because someone has to go and look.
And the other way round: what gets promised to a customer on a call stays in that person’s inbox and never reaches product.

Pick the Linear team
In Integrations, enter the identifier of the Linear team you want to connect.

Authorise with Linear
Sign in to Linear, grant access and come back. Access refreshes automatically and is stored encrypted.

Issues arrive in Tasks
With identifier (ENG-12), title, status and link. Linear shares the assignee’s email, so Tessa links each issue to the right user.

Continuous sync
With Linear’s webhook, changes arrive almost instantly; Tessa also re-checks the team every few minutes.

Who it makes sense for
This fits startups where product uses Linear and everyone else works in Google, Slack and email. If the whole team already lives in Linear, it adds less. It’s in beta: built on Linear’s official API and tested with simulated data, not yet with enough real accounts. If it shows as “Coming soon”, the connection isn’t enabled in Tessera yet.
What Tessa reads for each person stays private, your data is stored in the EU and nothing goes out without your approval.

Does Tessa create or change issues in Linear?
On the Tasks board, Tessa mirrors the connected team’s issues; she doesn’t change their status or delete them.

Yes. Each connection is one Linear team; add as many as you need.
Is this an official Linear integration?
No. Tessera uses Linear’s public API with your authorisation. Linear is a trademark of its owner.
