Asana with AI: the project plan and the client’s requests, together
Tessa brings an Asana project’s tasks into Tessera’s Tasks board, next to the ones she spots in your email, Slack and meetings.
This connection is in beta: it works, but we are still testing it with real accounts.
The plan lives in Asana, changes arrive by email
At agencies and ops teams, Asana is usually the plan: phases, deliverables and owners. But day-to-day work doesn’t go through Asana. The client asks for a change by email, someone mentions it on Slack, and Thursday’s meeting moves a date.
Copying all that into Asana by hand is what nobody does, so the project ends up with two versions: the board and reality.
How it works with Tessa
- 1
Enter the project
In Integrations, paste the Asana project ID (the number in its link) and click Connect.
- 2
Authorise with Asana
Sign in to Asana and grant access. Tessera stores access encrypted and refreshes it when it expires.
- 3
Tasks appear in Tessera
With title, status and link, on the Tasks board, next to what Tessa picks up from email and minutes.
- 4
Regular re-checks
This integration doesn’t get instant updates from Asana, so Tessa re-reads the project every few minutes.
What you get
- One list in the morningProject tasks and what you were asked today by email, in the same place.
- Requests that don’t get lostThe change a client asked for by email becomes a dated task in Tessera, even if nobody copies it into Asana.
- Asana stays in chargeTessa doesn’t change or delete tasks in Asana: the plan stays where it was.
- Direct linkEvery mirrored task links to its Asana page for comments and attachments.
Example: an agency planning in Asana
Picture a design agency planning each client in an Asana project. The account lead connects the main project. In the morning, Tessera shows this week’s planned tasks alongside three new requests that came in by email, each with a suggested reply. She decides what goes into the plan and what gets answered, without jumping between tools.
The integration is in beta and can only be connected once it’s enabled in Tessera; if you see “Coming soon”, it isn’t yet.
What Tessa reads for each person stays private, your data is stored in the EU and nothing goes out without your approval.
