Trello with AI: board cards and inbox requests in one place
Tessa reads a Trello board and brings its cards into Tessera, working out what’s to do, in progress or done from the list each card sits in.
This connection is in beta: it works, but we are still testing it with real accounts.
A board that’s only current on Mondays
Trello is the task tool of choice for many small teams because it’s simple: columns and cards. The catch is that the board only reflects what someone remembers to add, and most work arrives elsewhere: an email, a message, a call.
So you check the board and the inbox separately, and the urgent thing is in whichever one you weren’t looking at.
How it works with Tessa
- 1
Enter the board
In Integrations, paste the Trello board ID (it’s in the board’s link) and click Connect.
- 2
Authorise with Trello
Trello asks permission for Tessera to read and write your boards. Tessa checks the access before storing it encrypted.
- 3
Cards arrive in Tasks
Each card shows with its title and link. Status comes from the list name: “To do”, “Doing”, “Done” and their Spanish equivalents.
- 4
Changes in real time
Move a card and the change arrives through Trello’s webhook; Tessa also re-checks the board every few minutes just in case.
What you get
- Understands your columnsNo need to rename lists: Tessa reads the usual names in English and Spanish.
- Everything pending togetherBoard cards plus tasks from email, Slack and meetings on a single Tessera board.
- For teams that avoid jargonA good fit if you chose Trello precisely because you didn’t want a complicated tool.
- Your board stays yoursTessa doesn’t move or archive cards: she mirrors what’s there.
Example: a training school running courses on Trello
Picture a training school with a Trello board for each course run: materials, rooms, teachers. Questions from students and teachers come in by email and WhatsApp. With Tessa, the coordinator sees in-progress cards and new queries on one list every morning, each query with a suggested reply.
The integration is in beta: it works with Trello’s API and simulated data, but hasn’t been tested on enough real boards yet.
What Tessa reads for each person stays private, your data is stored in the EU and nothing goes out without your approval.

Can I connect several boards?
Yes. Each connection is one board.
Is this an official Trello integration?
No. Tessera uses Trello’s public API with your authorisation. Trello is a trademark of Atlassian.
