An AI assistant for consultancies that sell and deliver their time

Meetings, proposals, deliverables and invoicing: Tessa captures what you agree with each client and makes sure nothing goes without a follow-up.

"We agreed it on the call, but who wrote it down?"

In consulting, the product is what gets agreed in meetings: scope, deliverables, hours, budget. If it isn't written down and sent, the misunderstanding shows up three weeks later. And writing a recap of every call, with a packed diary, is exactly what gets pushed to later.

Proposals are the same: sent with high hopes, and five days later nobody has followed up. Meanwhile invoicing slips because nobody matched what was delivered against what's still unpaid.

How it works with Tessa

  1. 1

    Connect Google and Slack

With the "Consulting" template, Tessa treats client requests with deadlines, proposals and invoicing as high priority.

  2. 2

    Tessa joins your meetings

She joins as "Tessa (notetaker)" and the minutes highlight the agreed scope, deliverables, any hours or budget mentioned, and next steps with the client.

  3. 3

    A recap ready to send

When the call ends, a client-ready recap with next steps is waiting. Internally it goes out on its own; externally, it waits for your approval.

  4. 4

    Proposals that get followed up

If a proposal has had no reply in five days, Tessa has the follow-up ready. With Holded (beta), you also see unpaid invoices and quotes.

What you get

  • Clear scope from day oneWhat you agreed is written down and sent to the client, with a source. Fewer arguments about what was in or out.
  • Every meeting preppedTen minutes before, who's joining, what you discussed last time and what you still owe that client.
  • A client record that fills itself inHistory, open items and upcoming meetings, built from your email and meetings.
  • Documents with contextProposals, formal minutes or quotes drafted with the client's real details, saved in your Drive.

Routines in the "Consulting" template

Imported when you pick the industry, and editable:

  • "If a proposal has had no reply for 5 days, draft me a follow-up."
  • "After every client meeting, prepare the recap with next steps, ready to send."
  • One you could add: "Every Friday, list next week's deliverables by client."

Tools for professional services

The core runs on Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Meet) and Slack. Plenty of consulting clients live on Teams or Zoom: Tessa joins those meetings too (beta). If your firm runs on Microsoft 365 (beta), each person can connect Outlook and OneDrive instead of Google. Holded (beta) adds invoices and quotes, and HubSpot or Pipedrive (beta) your open deals.

Confidentiality with your clients

Consultancies handle sensitive client information. Whatever Tessa reads in someone's inbox is visible only to them; the wiki and search respect who can see what. Data is stored encrypted in the EU, and you can ask for analysis to run on a European AI model. Meetings are recorded by a notetaker that's visible on the call.

What Tessa reads for each person stays private, your data is stored in the EU and nothing goes out without your approval.

Frequently asked questions

Does Tessa tell attendees she's taking notes?

Yes. She joins the call as "Tessa (notetaker)" with an image showing she's taking notes. We also recommend mentioning it at the start, especially with clients.

Can she send the recap to the client directly?

To attendees from your company, yes; to outside attendees, the recap waits for your approval. You can edit it before it goes.

Does it track billable hours?

It's not a timesheet tool. The minutes capture hours or budget mentioned, and with Holded (beta) you see invoices and quotes, but it never measures anyone's time.

Does it work if my clients use Teams?

Yes. Tessa joins Google Meet, Zoom and Teams; Zoom and Teams are in beta.

Can she draft a proposal from the discovery call?

Yes. Ask for a proposal draft based on what was discussed on the call and what she already knows about the client; she saves it to your Drive so you can review it, adjust pricing and scope, and send it yourself. Nothing reaches the client until you decide it should.

What about confidential client information?

It's stored encrypted on EU servers, visible only to people with access, and never used for individual metrics. We sign a data processing agreement and publish our sub-processor list.

What does your team look like?

Same AI for both. Where you start is what changes.
