Holded with AI: get paid sooner and draft quotes without opening the ERP

Tessa reads your Holded invoices and contacts to remind you what’s still owed, draft quotes and tell you which transfer belongs to which invoice.

This connection is in beta: it works, but we are still testing it with real accounts.

Invoices sent, payments pending, nobody watching

In a small business, invoicing is usually well handled in Holded; it’s the follow-up that slips. An invoice falls due, nobody notices until month-end and chasing it stays on tomorrow’s list.

Quotes have the opposite problem: open Holded, find the client, copy lines from the last one, then check email to see what they actually asked for. Ten minutes of work turns into an afternoon.

How it works with Tessa

  1. 1

    Paste your Holded API key

Holded doesn’t offer sign-in for third-party apps, so you connect with an API key generated in its settings. Tessa checks it before storing it encrypted.

  2. 2

    Tessa reads invoices and contacts

She can look up clients and see unpaid and overdue invoices, company-wide or for a single contact.

  3. 3

    She flags and suggests

The manager’s weekly brief includes outstanding payments. You can also set routines like “every Monday, remind clients with overdue invoices”.

  4. 4

    You approve what goes out

Creating a quote in Holded or emailing a reminder to a client waits for your approval by default.

What you get

  • Overdue invoices in viewTessa notices when an invoice falls due and can trigger a routine right then.
  • Quotes with context“Draft a quote for Kirai based on Tuesday’s call”: Tessa uses email and minutes and creates it in Holded for you to review.
  • Bank reconciliationConnect your bank and Tessa matches each transfer against open invoices, then offers to mark it paid.
  • Full client historyAsk about a client and Tessa combines what Holded says with your emails and meetings.
  • Company figures, never personal onesThe payments section of the brief is about the company, not who handled each invoice.

Example: an agency billing per project

Picture a ten-person agency sending around thirty invoices a month. On Monday, the manager gets the weekly pulse: two overdue invoices and one transfer that looks like invoice F-031. She confirms the match in one click and approves the two reminders Tessa drafted for the clients.

None of it means opening Holded, yet everything is recorded there.

What Tessa reads for each person stays private, your data is stored in the EU and nothing goes out without your approval.

Frequently asked questions

How do I connect Holded to Tessa?

In Holded’s settings, under the developers section, generate an API key. Paste it into Tessera’s Integrations. Only admins see it and it’s stored encrypted.

Can Tessa issue invoices in Holded?

She doesn’t issue invoices. She can create quotes, pending your approval by default, and mark an invoice as paid when you confirm a reconciliation.

Can I automate overdue invoice reminders?

Yes, with a routine written in plain language. Tessa drafts the emails and, unless you change the policy, they wait for your approval before going out.

Is this an official Holded integration?

No. Tessera uses Holded’s public API with your key. Holded is a trademark of its owner.

Why is it in beta?

Some operations, such as recording an invoice payment, were built from Holded’s documentation and haven’t yet been tested with enough real accounts.
