Slack integration
A Slack AI assistant that reads the channels for you
Tessa lives in your Slack: she collects what people ask you, answers your mentions and turns conversations into company memory.
A hundred unread messages and one was for you
In Slack everything is urgent for five minutes and then vanishes. A colleague’s question in #sales gets buried under a thread about Friday lunch, and you see it two days later.
Decisions get made in channels and nobody writes them up. Six months on, “why did we do it this way?” has no answer unless someone remembers the exact thread.
How it works with Tessa
- 1
Your company installs Tessa in Slack
One click from Tessera. Then each person links their Slack account so Tessa knows which messages are meant for them.
- 2
Requests go to your inbox
Messages asking you for something appear in For you alongside email, with a priority. Reply in the thread or react and they close on their own.
- 3
Talk to @Tessa wherever you are
“@Tessa create a task for Ana”, “summarise this thread”, “what did we agree with Kirai?”. By DM or by mentioning her in a channel.
- 4
Notifications where you already look
Meeting briefs, task reminders and minute recaps reach you as Slack DMs.
What you get
- Nothing gets lost in a channelA question for you deep in a long thread ends up on your list with a date, not forgotten.
- Answers with contextTessa searches email, minutes, docs and channels, and cites where each fact comes from.
- A wiki built from conversationsDecisions and processes from channels go into the wiki with their source. Anything from a private channel stays visible to its members only.
- Suggested repliesFor messages that need an answer, Tessa leaves a draft in your tone that you send as yourself.
- DMs stay out of itDirect messages between people never go into the company memory.
Example: an agency with ten client channels
At a marketing agency, every client has a channel and the account director gets mentioned in all of them. With Tessa, on Monday she sees only the open requests in her inbox, asks @Tessa “what’s still open with the autumn campaign client?” and gets an answer linking to the thread and the minutes.
When someone new joins, the wiki already holds each account’s decisions, written up from those channels.
What Tessa reads for each person stays private, your data is stored in the EU and nothing goes out without your approval.
Frequently asked questions
How do I add Tessa to Slack?
An admin connects Slack from Tessera in one click and the bot shows up as “Tessa”. Each person then links their own account to get their notifications and inbox.
Does Tessa read my direct messages?
Only the ones you send to her. DMs between colleagues aren’t used for the wiki or the company memory.
Does it work in languages other than English?
Yes. Write to her in English or Spanish and she answers in the language you use.
How is this different from Slack’s built-in AI?
Tessa doesn’t stop at Slack: she connects what happens in channels with your email, meetings, tasks and billing tools, and keeps working when you’re not in Slack.
Which plan includes Slack?
