An AI assistant for Outlook and Microsoft 365

If your company runs on Microsoft 365, Tessa reads Outlook just like Gmail: she picks out what matters, drafts the reply and sends nothing without you.

This connection is in beta: it works, but we are still testing it with real accounts.

Most AI tools assume you use Gmail

Plenty of small businesses run on Outlook because it came with their Office licences or a big client requires it. Yet many AI productivity tools take Google for granted.

The underlying problem is the same either way: too much email, little of it important, and replies you type over and over. Switching email provider isn’t a realistic fix.

How it works with Tessa

  1. 1

    Connect your Microsoft account

From My connections, using Microsoft sign-in. Grant access to mail, calendar and files and Tessa starts reading.

  2. 2

    Your inbox becomes tasks

Every email asking you for something shows up with a priority and a date. Anything you archive, delete or answer in Outlook closes itself.

  3. 3

Replies stay in the Outlook thread

Tessa suggests the reply and, when you send it, it goes out as a response to the original message so the conversation stays grouped in Outlook.

  4. 4

    Meetings on Teams

If someone asks to meet in an email that arrived in Outlook, Tessa offers slots and creates the event with a Teams link.

What you get

  • Keep your email clientStay in Outlook on desktop or mobile. Tessa works on top of it.
  • Google and Microsoft togetherIf your team mixes Gmail and Outlook users, each connects their own and Tessa merges calendars and contacts.
  • Drafts never send themselvesTessa can leave drafts in your Outlook but never sends them on her own.
  • Private to each personYour Outlook mailbox is visible only to you in Tessera. Colleagues and managers have no access.
  • Easy to disconnectDisconnecting deletes the link in Tessera, and you can withdraw consent in Microsoft’s My Apps portal.

Why it’s in beta

The Microsoft 365 integration is built on Microsoft’s official Graph API and covers mail, calendar and OneDrive. What’s missing is thorough testing against real customer tenants, so we label it beta. If you use it and something feels off, telling us helps a lot.

  • Included: reading, sorting and replying to email; drafts; agenda and free slots; Teams events.
  • Not yet: Teams chats as items in your inbox.
  • Personal Microsoft accounts can’t create Teams for Business meetings, so the event is created without a link.

What Tessa reads for each person stays private, your data is stored in the EU and nothing goes out without your approval.

Frequently asked questions

How do I connect Outlook to Tessa?

In My connections, click Connect Microsoft and accept the permissions with your Microsoft 365 account. No Outlook add-in to install.

Can I use Outlook and Gmail at the same time?

Yes. Each person can connect either or both. Tessa replies from whichever account the email arrived in.

Will Tessa send email from my Outlook without permission?

No. Replies go out when you click Send. Anything to people outside the company waits for approval unless you change that rule.

Does it work with on-premises Exchange?

Tessa uses Microsoft Graph, the cloud API for Microsoft 365. Exchange servers hosted on your own premises aren’t supported.

What does beta mean here?

The integration follows Microsoft’s documentation but hasn’t yet been tested with enough real accounts. There may be details to iron out.

What does your team look like?

Same AI for both. Where you start is what changes.
