An AI assistant for renovation firms that work on site, not at a desk
Quotes, suppliers, clients with questions and invoices to collect: Tessa runs the office while you're on site.
"I'm on site all day and the office goes unanswered"
In a renovation business, the person who knows each job is usually the one who isn't in the office. Clients ask for quotes and nobody chases them afterwards, the supplier confirms Tuesday's delivery in an email nobody reads, and the client asks on WhatsApp whether the tiles arrive this week.
Evenings are for paperwork: typing up quotes, checking which invoices are still unpaid, remembering who you had to call. And what gets agreed with the client during a site visit rarely gets written down, until there's an argument about whether that change was included.
How it works with Tessa
- 1
Connect email and calendar
Everyone connects their Google account and Slack if you use it. Pick "Other" as your industry and tell Tessa, in your own words, what's urgent: clients with live jobs, supplier deliveries and payments.
- 2
Every request becomes a task
"Could you send the quote for the bathroom?" or "the materials arrive Thursday" become dated tasks you can see on your phone.
- 3
Quotes that get followed up
If a quote goes unanswered, Tessa drafts the follow-up. With Holded (beta) she also prepares quotes for you to approve and flags overdue invoices.
- 4
Alerts in your pocket
The mobile app flags what's urgent and lets you reply in one click between jobs.
What you get
- Quotes that don't fall through the cracksEvery quote you send has its follow-up ready, no notebook required.
- Suppliers under controlOrder confirmations, deliveries and date changes come out of the inbox as dated tasks.
- Fewer evenings on paperworkReplies, reminders and quotes arrive drafted; you check them on your phone or laptop.
- Getting paid on timeWith Holded and your bank (beta), Tessa flags overdue invoices and drafts the chaser.
Example routines for a renovation firm
There's no construction template yet: write routines in your own words. A few examples:
- "If a quote has had no reply for 7 days, draft me a follow-up."
- "Every morning at 7:30, tell me which supplier deliveries are due today and for which job."
- "On Mondays, remind clients with overdue invoices."
Integrations that matter on site
The core runs on Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive) and the mobile app. Holded (beta) adds quotes and invoices; PSD2 bank feeds (beta, read-only) match transfers to invoices so you know what's been paid. With WhatsApp Business (beta), client messages land in the inbox with a suggested reply; for now photos and voice notes show up as a placeholder with their caption, without the file. If you coordinate in Trello, Asana or ClickUp (beta), tasks can go there.
Site meetings and privacy
If you meet clients or architects on Meet, Zoom or Teams, Tessa takes notes as a visible attendee and the minutes highlight requested changes and what was agreed. Whatever Tessa reads in someone's inbox is visible only to them, data is stored encrypted in the EU and there are no individual metrics for site managers or directors.
What Tessa reads for each person stays private, your data is stored in the EU and nothing goes out without your approval.
Frequently asked questions
Does Tessa write construction quotes?
She can draft one in Holded (beta) or in a Drive document using the details you give her, but measurements and prices are your call. No quote goes out without your approval.
Does it work from my phone on site?
Yes. Tessa has an installable app with alerts for urgent items, and you can approve replies in one click. You can also dictate requests by voice.
Can she read photos clients send on WhatsApp?
Not yet. With WhatsApp Business (beta), photos and voice notes only appear as a placeholder next to the message text; to view them, open WhatsApp.
Can it track workers' hours?
No. Tessa tracks the work, not people: she doesn't measure anyone's hours, movements or activity.
Do I need IT skills to set it up?
No. Google and Slack connect in one click; Holded, WhatsApp or your bank, with step-by-step instructions.
Does it help coordinate subcontractors?
Yes, over email. Messages from plumbers, electricians or joiners confirming or moving a date become tasks, and Tessa drafts the reply or reminder. Your subcontractors don't need to use Tessa.
