One search box for everything at your company
Email, Slack messages, meeting minutes, documents, the wiki, tasks and contacts in a single box. If you'd rather have an answer than a list, Tessa gives you one with numbered sources.
You know someone said it. You just don't know where
“What price did we quote Orbe?” It could be in an email, a Slack message, a meeting's minutes or a doc in Drive. You search Gmail, then Slack, then Drive, and each search works differently. Ten minutes later you find it. Or you don't.
In a small company the problem grows with every new tool. The information exists, but it's scattered, and nobody has time to keep it tidy in one place.
How it works with Tessa
- 1
Type what you're looking for
From the Search page, with the “/” key from any screen, or from the ⌘K palette.
- 2
Tessa searches every source
Your email, Slack, minutes, documents, the company wiki, tasks and contacts. Filter by source and date if you like.
- 3
See results from everywhere
Each result shows where it came from and links to the original in its own tool.
- 4
Or ask for an answer
With “Answer with Tessa” you get a short paragraph citing sources [1] [2], so you can check where every fact comes from.
What you get
- One search instead of fiveNo more remembering which tool a conversation happened in.
- Answers you can verifyEvery claim Tessa makes carries a citation. Citations to sources that don't exist are removed.
- Only what you're allowed to seeResults respect permissions: your email is yours, and a private channel only shows up for its members.
- Filters that matterBy source (email, Slack, minutes, documents, wiki, tasks) and by date.
- Always one key awayPress “/” anywhere in the app to start searching.
Questions that take seconds
A few searches small teams run all the time:
- “Orbe price” to find the email and the minutes where pricing came up.
- “What did we decide about the annual discount?”, with the answer and the meeting it came from.
- “office lease contract” to pull up the document in Drive.
- “order 4512 issue” to see the thread and the related task.
Search and privacy
Search is personal: everyone searches with their own permissions. Nobody can surface a colleague's email by asking Tessa, and wiki pages that come from a private channel only appear for people in that channel.
That's also the difference from searching inside each tool: each tool only searches itself, while here one query covers email, chat, meetings, documents and tasks together, and Tessa can combine what she finds into a single answer with sources.
What Tessa reads for each person stays private, your data is stored in the EU and nothing goes out without your approval.
Frequently asked questions
What does it search?
Your email, connected Slack channels, minutes from meetings you attended, shared Drive documents, the company wiki, tasks and your contacts.
Can it see my colleagues' email?
No. Everyone only searches what they can see. Each person's email is private and never shows up in anyone else's results.
Can Tessa's answers make things up?
Tessa answers only from your search results and cites each source. Citations pointing at sources that don't exist are stripped, so you can verify every fact with one click.
Does it search my CRM?
Not from the search box. Ask Tessa about a client in the chat and, if HubSpot or Pipedrive is connected, she'll look it up there.
Is it on the free plan?
Yes. Search and chatting with Tessa are part of the Free plan. Answers with sources use a few credits each.
Does it find old Slack messages?
When you connect a channel, Tessa pulls in the last 30 days of history and everything new from then on. Older messages are still there in Slack's own search.
