Notion with AI: your task database connected to everything else

If you keep tasks in a Notion database, Tessa reads it and shows it in Tessera next to what she spots in email, Slack and meetings.

This connection is in beta: it works, but we are still testing it with real accounts.

Notion organises everything… that someone writes down

Plenty of small teams use Notion for everything: wiki, tasks, processes, meeting notes. It works as long as someone maintains it. But the task database doesn’t fill itself, and notes and processes go stale as the team grows.

Meanwhile the real work keeps arriving by email and Slack, far from the database where everything supposedly lives.

How it works with Tessa

  1. 1

    Pick the database

In Integrations, paste the ID of the Notion database where you keep tasks.

  2. 2

    Authorise with Notion

Notion asks which pages to share with Tessera. Share the task database and nothing else if you prefer.

  3. 3

    Pages become tasks

Each page in the database appears on Tessera’s Tasks board with title, status and link.

  4. 4

    Regular re-checks

Tessa re-reads the database every few minutes to mirror changes.

What you get

  • You decide what Tessa seesNotion only grants access to pages you explicitly share with the integration.
  • Notion tasks next to emailWhat’s planned and what arrives each day, on one list.
  • A wiki nobody has to writeWhile Notion holds what the team documents, Tessa writes up decisions and processes on her own from meetings, channels and docs.
  • Notion left intactTessa doesn’t reorganise or delete pages in your database.

Notion and Tessa: who does what

Notion is a great editor for what the team chooses to write. Tessa handles what nobody writes: she turns emails, messages and meetings into tasks and keeps company memory current, with sources. Connecting them stops Notion tasks living in isolation.

The integration is in beta: built on Notion’s public API and tested with simulated data. If it shows as “Coming soon” in your account, the connection isn’t enabled in Tessera yet.

What Tessa reads for each person stays private, your data is stored in the EU and nothing goes out without your approval.

Frequently asked questions

How do I connect Notion to Tessa?

Copy your task database ID, paste it into Integrations, click Connect and, in Notion, share that database with the integration.

Can Tessa read all of my Notion?

No. She only sees pages you share with the integration when authorising, and in Tessera she uses the database you connected.

Does Tessa replace Notion AI?

They do different jobs. Notion AI helps inside Notion; Tessa works across your email, Slack, meetings and billing tools, with data stored in the EU.

Which properties does the database need?

A title property, which every database has. For status, Tessa uses a status-type property, a select named “Status”, or a “Done” checkbox, in that order.

Is this an official Notion integration?

No. Tessera uses Notion’s public API with your authorisation. Notion is a trademark of its owner.

What does your team look like?

Same AI for both. Where you start is what changes.
